Max and Morgan first connected while lifeguarding at their local park district pool — Max, a senior; Morgan, a junior. Max had a habit of rearranging the guard rotations on the whiteboard, conveniently giving him more time to talk to Morgan during their shifts. A year later, they went to Max’s senior prom together, and the rest is history (featuring a five-year long-distance detour).

Max headed to Michigan State (Go Green), while Morgan went to CU Boulder (Sko Buffs). After college, they finally made their way back to Chicago and have been living together in Lakeview ever since, filling their time with lake walks, concerts, and plenty of time with friends and family.

On May 9, 2026, Max proposed to Morgan in Lincoln Park at her favorite little lily pond. Morgan said "YES!" and here we are!
